Services: EChecks (ACH)
As the Internet has grown, online merchants are looking for new ways to increase their sales and profits. By adding eChecks as a payment option merchants can now take advantage of the tens of millions of consumers who don't have credit cards or do not want to use them online. These consumers are looking for the same goods and services as credit card buyers along with a safe and secure payment alternative. The acceptance of eChecks by merchants has grown by over 40 percent per year and has become the payment choice for millions of online shoppers.

Here are a few of the eCheck ACH payment uses:

  •   Purchasing products from online merchants
  •   Subscribing to recurring online sites such as dating or Web magazines
  •   Paying monthly mortgage or utility bills
  •   Paying monthly membership dues

The Automated Clearing House (ACH) network is a reliable and efficient nationwide banking system. As a processor, AE Checking screens and accepts Merchant transactions and submits them through the Federal Reserve banking network. When the consumers bank receives the request for electronic payment the funds are transferred back to an account held by the processor and then distributed back to the merchant. The electronic funds transfer system is governed by the National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA), which creates the operating Rules for the transfer, and clearing of electronic payments for participating financial institutions.
